Description

This is a detailed examination of the bell of an exquisite Buffet R13 Clarinet in A. The microscopic white pores inherent to the African Blackwood, ordinarily undetectable to the unaided eye, become a stellar array akin to a star-filled galaxy. There is a faint warm radiance that is diffused from the light filtering through the glass mouthpiece at the opposite end.

To achieve this level of magnified clarity, ensuring every detail from the forefront to the rear of the instrument is in focus, a series of 80 photographs were painstakingly stitched together.
